The point about “quality over quantity” really stands out. A portfolio can look impressive and still fail to communicate what the developer actually accomplished.
I’d also add that the projects themselves should tell a story: what was the problem, what decisions did you make, and what changed because you built it? That context can be just as valuable as the final UI.
A beautiful portfolio gets attention; clear evidence of problem-solving gets you considered.
