What it is

Looksmax Scale measures four facial proportions from a photo: harmony, symmetry, eye area and jawline. The numbers come from 478 detected landmarks and a fixed formula, so the same photo always returns the same score.

Why I built it

Most face-scoring sites send your photo to a model and send a number back. Ask the same model twice and the number changes, and there's no way to check where either one came from. I wanted something that behaves like a calculator instead of an opinion.

What it does

  • Four proportions from 478 facial landmarks: harmony, symmetry, eye area, jawline
  • Same photo returns the same score every time, nothing sampled
  • Every score comes with the raw ratio it was calculated from, so you can check the math
  • Detection and scoring run entirely in your browser, the photo never leaves your device
  • Photos that can't be measured get refused instead of guessed at, angle, sharpness and framing are checked first

Where it is the wrong tool

The scale is still being calibrated against real photos, so tier labels can shift as more data comes in. That's marked on every result page. If you want a clinical or diagnostic measurement this isn't built for that, it's a geometry calculator for a single photo.
